Ronald J. Gowey, MD

Dr. Gowey is an experienced, board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been in private practice in Santa Monica for over 30 years, serving as the Managing Partner for the Santa Monica Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group since 1988. In addition, Dr. Gowey has been active in leadership positions with St. John’s Health Center, including serving as President of the Medical Staff, Chairman of the Orthopaedic Section, and serving on the Executive Committee of the St. John’s Health Center Foundation. Dr. Gowey has also served in numerous teaching positions, including that of Assistant Clinical Professor with the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr. Gowey graduated from the St. Louis University School of Medicine, and performed a post graduate internship Los Angeles County General Hospital and completed his residencies at Wadsworth Veterans Hospital and Orthopaedic Hospital, both in Los Angeles. Dr. Gowey was also a Captain in the United States Army.
