Is MAKOplasty® Right for Me?

If you have pain while standing, walking short distances, or even climbing up or down stairs, MAKOplasty® Partial Knee Resurfacing may be able to bring relief. Pain with activity, joint stiffness getting out of bed, and swelling around the knee can also be indicators that resurfacing is necessary.

When non-surgical solutions like physical therapy, steroid injections, and pain medications don’t relieve the pain, MAKOplasty® may be the answer. This procedure is a great option for adults who have early to mid-stage OA. If OA has progressed to all three compartments of the knee, resurfacing may not be possible.

You can discuss your knee pain with Dr. Ehrhart to determine if you are an eligible candidate.
